SliceWin uses a dynamic Elo-based system—similar to competitive chess. • 🎯 Win against a stronger player? You earn more points. • 🛡️ Lose to a weaker player? You lose more points. • 🧮 Match length matters: a match played to three winning sets counts more than two winning sets, which counts more than a one-set match. • 📊 Set scores matter too: winning 6–0 gives more points than 6–4. • ⏱️ Americano / Open Play and Mexicano / Swiss matches count half as much as other matches, because they are usually shorter and played as a single set. Each player has separate Elo ratings for singles (1v1) and doubles (2v2). Learn more in our ranking guide.

For standalone matches (not part of a tournament), use the '+' button on your club or community's leaderboard screen. For matches that are part of a league or tournament, open the specific tournament and enter the match result there. Note: Results reported by players remain pending until validated by one of your opponents or a community administrator.

Tap the notification icon at the top right of your community hub to view matches pending your validation, as well as matches pending your opponent's validation. You will also receive a pop-up alert when you open the app if there are matches waiting for your approval.

Only community 'Members' appear in the ranking. If you don't see your name, you might have the 'Guest' role. Check with your community staff to confirm and update your role if necessary.

Players appear grayed out or at the bottom if they haven't played the minimum number of matches required to be fully ranked (defined by the community admins). Keep playing to unlock your official rank!

Tap the settings gear icon from the app’s main home screen to edit your username, profile picture, and account details.

When you join the community, you will have the ability to claim your profile. Your claim will remain pending until a community admin validates it. Once validated, your previous match history will be successfully linked to your new account. If you were not prompted to claim your profile — for example, if the manual profile was created under a different name — a staff member can still link your accounts manually after you have joined. They can merge your manual profile into your registered account from the players list. See our link accounts guide for details.

Once you create your community, you have two options to add players: • Invite them: Use the share button in your community hub to send an invitation link so they can join and create their own profiles. • Create them manually: Tap the settings icon in your community hub, then select 'Manage Players'. Note: If you create players manually and they install the app later, they can claim their profile. After an admin validates the claim, they will gain full access to their profile and match history. • Guests: Can participate in tournaments and report matches, but do not appear in the community rankings. • Members: Can participate in tournaments, report matches, and appear in the community rankings. • Managers: Same as Members, but can also manage tournaments and report matches for other players without needing opponent validation. • Admins: Same as Managers, but can also manage profile claims and community settings. • Owner: Full control over the community, including deletion. Note: By default, new users joining your community are assigned the Member role. You can change this default to Guest in your Community Settings.

In the club / community settings, you can manage your cover picture, password, description, sports, social medias, opening hours, location, and many other preferences. It will help you to thrive on SliceWin.

Yes. Staff (Managers/Admins/Owners) can report completed matches without needing opponent validation. Staff can also validate pending matches on behalf of players.

By default, any player starts with 1,000 Elo points, but you can change the Elo points of a player by long-tapping on their name in the ranking screen. This can be very useful if you want your players to start with different Elo ratings based on their real-life skill, or if you want to reset players' Elo after a certain period or season.

First you need to create your club or community or be assigned an Admin or Manager role in an existing one. You will then have a 'Create Tournament' button in the Tournament tab of your club or community. Related article: • Create a tournament

When you add a registration fee, players see the amount in the app. Choose how to collect it when creating or editing a tournament: Registration → Paid → Payment collection. • External payment — collect outside SliceWin (cash, bank transfer, etc.) • In-app payment — the full fee is pre-authorized on the player's card and charged after the tournament starts (Pro; requires Stripe or Iyzico) • In-app deposit — a temporary hold secures the player's place and is released after the tournament starts, unless they no-show or cancel late (Pro; requires Stripe or Iyzico) See our registration fee guide for more details.

When you create a tournament, you pick a format. SliceWin supports seven formats in singles and doubles: • Open Play / Americano — Round-by-round sessions with automatic player rotations. Ideal for mixers and social events. (Called Americano in padel.) • Swiss / Mexicano — Round-by-round pairings based on similar standings. Winners play winners, losers play losers. (Called Mexicano in padel.) • Round Robin — Everyone faces everyone. All matches are generated at the start and can be played in any order. • Group Round Robin — Round robin inside each group. Ideal for skill divisions or larger fields. • Knockout — Standard elimination, with optional group stage and placement matches. • Team Tournament — Two teams compete in Flexible or Round Robin mode. Ideal for club battles. • Flexible — No predefined matches; add them as you go. Ideal for leagues or custom schedules. A standard elimination knockout format. Players or teams face off, and the loser is eliminated from the main draw. Group stages and placement matches are optional. The structure of the bracket and the groups will automatically adapt based on the actual number of participants when you start the tournament.

Every player or fixed team plays against everyone else in their pool. Partners stay together for the entire event. This format is highly flexible and perfect for a league spanning several weeks or short matches in a single-day event.

Group Round Robin is similar to Round Robin, but participants are split into groups and only face opponents within their own group. Ideal for organizing leagues with multiple skill divisions.

Players change partners every match. Matches are generated round-by-round, meaning you will play with and against different participants. Points are awarded to the individual player, resulting in an individual leaderboard. Ideal for mixers and social events.

Matches are generated round-by-round, and players are matched with opponents of a similar position in the tournament leaderboard. Winners play winners, and losers play losers. This ensures that matches become increasingly balanced and competitive as the tournament progresses. It can be played with fixed teams or rotating partners.

Players are split into two teams that compete against each other. • Flexible mode — matches are added freely: singles, doubles, or a mix of both • Round Robin mode — the app generates all matches so that every player faces every player on the opposing team Ideal for club battles or inter-team competitions.

Flexible has no predefined structure. Admins and participants add matches freely, and standings update automatically. Ideal for leagues or tournaments where you want complete freedom over which matches are played.

Yes, you can add or remove players or teams at any time during a tournament. Open the tournament, tap the settings icon at the top right of the screen, and select 'Manage Teams / Players'.

Yes, by default, tournament matches impact the global community Elo ranking. However, Admins can disable this setting when creating a specific tournament.
