Create Your League
Getting started with SliceWin takes less than a minute. Open the app, tap "Create League," and give your league a name. You can customize settings like minimum matches required for ranking, choose your sport (padel, tennis, pickleball, badminton, or table tennis), and set whether your league is private or open to join.
What you can customize:
- League name: Make it personal—"Downtown Padel Club" or " Night Tennis"
- Sport type: Choose from padel, tennis, pickleball, badminton, table tennis and more
- Minimum matches: Set how many matches players need before appearing in rankings
- Privacy: Keep it private for friends or open for your community
Add Players
Once your league is created, it's time to invite players. SliceWin generates a unique invite link that you can share directly via WhatsApp, Telegram, email, or any messaging app. Players who already have the app will join instantly. Players who don't have the app yet will be redirected to download it from the App Store or Google Play.
Three ways to add players:
- Share invite link: Send the unique link to anyone you want in your league
- Manually add players: League admins can add unregistered players by name
- Auto-claim profiles: When unregistered players join later, they can claim their match history automatically
This flexibility means you don't have to wait for everyone to install the app before starting. You can add players manually, report matches on their behalf, and they can claim their profile later without losing any history.
Report Matches
After playing a match, anyone can report the result in seconds. Just tap "Report Match" from the leaderboard, select the players, enter the score by sets (like 6-4, 6-3), and submit. The match then goes into a pending state until it's validated by your opponent or a league admin.
How match reporting works:
- Quick entry: Enter scores by sets—no complicated forms
- Singles or doubles: SliceWin handles both formats with proper Elo calculations
- Score matters: Winning 6-0 vs. 6-4 affects your Elo differently—bigger wins mean bigger point changes
- Pending validation: Matches stay pending until confirmed by opponents or admins
This validation system ensures fairness and prevents disputes. Both players need to agree on the result before Elo points are updated and the match appears in official rankings.
Watch Elo Rankings Update Live
Once a match is validated, SliceWin's Elo system automatically recalculates rankings in real time. Your position on the leaderboard reflects your current performance, not just total wins. Beat a higher-ranked player? You'll earn more points and potentially jump several spots. Lose to someone ranked below you? You'll lose more points than you would against an equal opponent.
How SliceWin's Elo ranking works:
- Win against stronger players: Earn more Elo points for upsets
- Lose to weaker players: Lose more points—every match matters
- Close matches: Smaller point exchanges when skill levels are similar
- Score differences count: Dominating 6-0, 6-0 awards more points than winning 7-6, 7-6
- Always fair: Your Elo score goes up and down based on actual performance, not just match count
Players can view complete match history, track their Elo progression over time, and see detailed head-to-head records against specific opponents. League admins can see league-wide statistics and export data if needed.
